Master 2 Infectiologie et Immunité

Domaines Membranaires et Assemblage Viral

Parcours

After I obtained my BS degree in Biology from the Lebanese University - Beirut, Lebanon, in 2016, I moved to France to do my masters on Microbiology and Immunology, in the University of Montpellier. First, I worked as trainee in the Dynamic of Normal and Pathological Membrane Interactions laboratory, at the faculty of science (DIMNP-UM2, Montpellier), where I studied a specific construction of an enzyme that has role in the lipids metabolism of the parasite Plasmodium falciparum. For my master 2 internship, I worked on the role of actin cofactors in viral assembly of HIV-1, at IRIM-CNRS Montpellier, within the Membrane Domains and Viral Assemby team (MDVA). Just after the end of this internship (fall 2018-2019), I continue working on HIV, at a screening platform level 3 infectivity, Cemipai-UMS Montpellier, as a project engineer. Because I am fascinated about the topic, and I am passionate about what and how a team is working, I return back to MDVA team in October 2019, as PhD student, working on the role of cellular cofactors in HIV-1 assemby with a 3 year SIDACTION foundation fellowship (2019-2022).
